When is COMPUTEX 2027, and what changed for SEMICON Taiwan?
COMPUTEX 2027 runs June 1-4, 2027. The official site lists four venues: Nangang Halls 1 and 2, TWTC Hall 1 and the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). Moving between Nangang and the Xinyi venues takes time, so exhibitors with a booth in one area and a keynote or press event in another should plan the crew around that gap.
SEMICON Taiwan 2027 moves to August 18-20, about three weeks earlier than its usual September dates. SEMI says the change is about securing space across several venues for a show that keeps growing. The 2026 edition ended September 4 at Nangang Exhibition Center.
Which venues host Taipei trade shows?
Most large B2B shows run at Nangang Exhibition Center, which has two buildings: Hall 1 (TaiNEX 1) and Hall 2 (TaiNEX 2). The older Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 (TWTC) sits in Xinyi District next to the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), which hosts forums and keynotes during bigger shows.
When a show spans both areas, as COMPUTEX does, treat them as two separate locations. One camera operator can’t cover a booth in Nangang and a stage session in Xinyi in the same hour.
When should exhibitors plan their trade show video?
Start media planning when your booth is confirmed, not the week before. Here is the timeline we suggest for exhibitors who want booth video, photos and social clips:
- 8-12 weeks out: decide what you need: booth walk-through, product demos, interviews, stage sessions, a live stream. Book the crew, especially for COMPUTEX week.
- 6 weeks out: ask the organizer about exhibitor and contractor badges for your crew, booth power, and whether you can order a wired internet line if you plan to stream.
- 3-4 weeks out: confirm interview guests and languages, the demo schedule and stage times. Share brand guidelines and logos for clip graphics.
- 1 week out: send the crew the booth floor plan, hall and booth number, and the daily schedule.
- Show days: shoot early, before the aisles fill. Clips and photos go out on the agreed schedule.
Our trade show booth video guide has the full shot list, crew plans and costs.
What should you know about filming inside Taipei exhibition halls?
Each show sets its own rules for filming, streaming and noise in the exhibitor manual. Read that manual before the show and send us the relevant pages. In practice, a few things come up at nearly every show:
- Power. Booth power is usually ordered through the organizer before a deadline. Don’t assume a free socket. We bring batteries for cameras and lights, but a live stream needs reliable power at the booth.
- Wi-Fi. Shared hall Wi-Fi slows down badly once thousands of visitors arrive. We never stream over it. Every stream we run uses a wired line plus a 5G backup, and we record locally as well.
- Noise. Halls are loud, and neighboring booths play music. Interviews need lavalier microphones, and a quieter corner or meeting room helps.
- Light. Hall lighting is uneven and often mixed with LED screens. We bring LED lights for interviews and product close-ups.
- Load-in and badges. Set-up days come before opening, and crews usually need badges to enter. Sort these out with the organizer early, because a crew stuck at the entrance costs you the first morning.
- Crowds. The best time for clean booth shots is the first hour of a show day, before aisles fill.
What does booth coverage cost at a Taipei show?
A common setup for one show day is a camera operator for the full day (NT$14,000-18,000), a photographer for the full day (NT$18,000-22,000) and 5 edited social clips (NT$8,000-10,000), so NT$40,000-50,000 before 5% tax. Multi-day shows scale per day. See all packages on our pricing page, or compare with general Taipei market rates in what event video costs in Taipei.
We cover trade shows across Taipei and New Taipei, and we brief interviews in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. See our trade show coverage page and event videography service, or send us your show and booth number for a quote.
Common questions
When is COMPUTEX 2027?
COMPUTEX 2027 runs June 1-4, 2027. The official site lists Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2, TWTC Hall 1 and the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) as venues.
When is SEMICON Taiwan 2027?
SEMI has announced August 18-20, 2027, about three weeks earlier than the usual September slot. The organizers say the change is about securing enough space across several venues, so check the official site for the final hall list.
Which venue hosts most Taipei trade shows?
Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX 1 and TaiNEX 2) in Nangang District hosts most large B2B shows, including COMPUTEX, Taipei Cycle, TIMTOS and Touch Taiwan. The older Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 in Xinyi still hosts shows such as the Taipei International Book Exhibition and Taiwan Innotech Expo.
Are Food Taipei 2027 dates confirmed?
Not on the official site yet. As of October 2026 it marks 2027 details as coming soon. The 2026 edition ran June 24-27, so expect late June and confirm with the organizer.
How far ahead should exhibitors book a video crew for a Taipei trade show?
Six to eight weeks is comfortable for most shows. For COMPUTEX week, book as soon as your booth is confirmed, because Taipei crews fill up fast when thousands of exhibitors want coverage at the same time.
