Trade show booth video and photography in Taipei: a guide for exhibitors

What should you film at your trade show booth?

Film five things: a booth walk-through, product demos, interviews, stage sessions and crowd atmosphere. Together they give you social clips during the show, a highlight reel afterward and material for sales decks all year.

ShotWhat it looks likeBest time
Booth walk-throughOne smooth take through the booth, logo to key productsFirst hour of the day, before aisles fill
Product demosClose-ups of hands, screens and moving parts, plus a wide shotScheduled demo slots
Exec and customer interviews1-3 minutes each, lavalier mic, booth as backgroundQuiet hours, usually mid-morning or late afternoon
Stage and keynote sessionsYour talks at the booth stage or a show forumFixed by the schedule
Crowd and atmosphereVisitors at the booth, handshakes, badge scans, busy aislesPeak hours, around midday
PhotosTeam portraits, product hero shots, VIP visitsThroughout the day

Shoot the walk-through and product close-ups early. By midday, visitors stand in every frame.

How do you get social clips out during the show?

Plan the clips before the show, not on the floor. Pick 3-5 subjects in advance, like a new product, a customer quote or a keynote line, and the crew shoots for those.

Our social clips cost NT$1,600-2,000 each, or NT$8,000-10,000 for 5, with English and Chinese subtitles. Each clip is cut vertically or square for LinkedIn, X and Instagram. Standard delivery is within 5 working days, and 48-hour rush is +20%.

For posts that go out the same evening, ask for it in your quote request. We plan editing time on site and price it separately. The pricing logic is in what short videos cost in Taiwan.

Can you live stream from your booth?

Often yes, but the show decides. Streaming, sound levels and booth power are covered in each show’s exhibitor manual, and the rules differ between COMPUTEX, SEMICON Taiwan and smaller shows. Read the manual and confirm with the organizer before you plan a stream.

Never stream over hall Wi-Fi. It slows to a crawl once visitors arrive. Every stream we run uses a wired line plus a 5G backup, and we record locally as well. Order the booth power and, if the organizer offers it, a wired internet line before their deadline.

A one-camera stream of your booth stage costs NT$28,000-35,000 for a half day, or NT$40,000-48,000 for a full day. More detail is in how to live stream an event and on our live streaming service page.

What language are the interviews in?

The interview should be in whatever language your speaker is most relaxed in. We work in English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean, so we brief your Japanese or Korean executive in their own language, then do the same for a Taiwanese customer in Chinese.

A short brief before recording matters more than the camera. Speakers who know the three questions beforehand give shorter, sharper answers, and those answers cut into clips easily.

How many crew do you need per day?

It depends on what you want out. Here are the three plans exhibitors book most often (NT$, before 5% tax):

PlanCrewCost per day
BasicCamera operator, full day, plus 5 social clips22,000-28,000
StandardCamera operator + photographer, full day, plus 5 social clips40,000-50,000
Stage dayStandard plan + half-day live stream of the booth stage68,000-85,000

A full day means up to 8 hours on site, and overtime is NT$3,000-3,500 per hour per camera after that. Our camera operators bring their own kit; see the camera operator service.

You don’t need the full crew every day. A common setup for a four-day show is the standard plan on day one, when the booth is fresh and executives are in town, then a camera operator alone on one later day for customer interviews.

What does a two-day booth package cost?

Here is a worked example for a two-day package at a show like COMPUTEX:

ItemCost (NT$)
Camera operator, 2 full days28,000-36,000
Photographer, 1 full day18,000-22,000
5 social clips with EN + Chinese subtitles8,000-10,000
Highlight reel, 60-90 seconds8,000-10,000
Total before 5% tax62,000-78,000

All packages are on our pricing page. Bigger jobs, like several booths or multi-camera keynotes, go to vetted partner crews, and we stay your single contact.

When should you book a trade show video crew?

Book 6-8 weeks before most shows. For COMPUTEX (June 1-4, 2027), book as soon as your booth is confirmed, since thousands of exhibitors want coverage the same week. SEMICON Taiwan moves earlier in 2027, to August 18-20, so check your plans against the new dates. Our Taipei trade show calendar lists all the dates and venues.

Exhibitor checklist before the show

  1. Confirm your hall, booth number and floor plan, and send them to the crew.
  2. Read the exhibitor manual’s rules on filming, streaming and sound levels.
  3. Get exhibitor or contractor badges for the crew, including set-up days if you want build footage.
  4. Order booth power, plus a wired internet line if you plan to stream.
  5. Lock interview guests, languages and time slots, and send questions in advance.
  6. Share demo times, stage schedule and any embargoed products we shouldn’t film.
  7. Send logos, fonts and brand colors for clip graphics.
  8. Name one person at the booth who can make decisions on the day.

Common questions

Can you film interviews in Japanese or Korean at a Taipei trade show?

Yes. We work in English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean, so we can brief your executives and customers in their own language before the camera rolls. Clips come with English and Chinese subtitles; ask us if you need other subtitle languages.

Can I live stream from my booth at COMPUTEX or SEMICON Taiwan?

It depends on the show's rules on streaming, sound levels and power, which are set in each exhibitor manual. Check it and confirm with the organizer. If streaming is allowed, we run it on a wired line with a 5G backup and record locally as a safety copy.

How fast can we get clips during the show?

Standard delivery is within 5 working days, and 48-hour rush editing costs 20% extra. If you need clips posted the same evening, tell us when you ask for a quote so we can plan the editing on site and price it separately.

Do we need a separate photographer and videographer?

For a full show day, yes. One person can't shoot clean video and good stills at the same moment, and booth days move fast. On a small budget, one camera operator for video plus phone photos from your team is a workable fallback.

Can the crew film other booths or the show floor?

Plan to film your own booth, your own stage sessions and general atmosphere in public areas. Filming another company's booth usually needs their permission, and each show sets its own rules in the exhibitor manual.
