Year-end party (weiya) photography, video and live streaming in Taipei
Speeches, awards, the lucky draw and staff performances, all captured. We photograph and film company year-end parties and spring banquets, and stream them to staff who can't attend.
Get a quoteWhat we bring to a year-end party
A photographer covers the arrival, speeches, awards, every lucky draw winner, performances and table toasts. For video, an operator records the CEO speech and the shows with audio taken from the venue’s mixer, so speeches stay clear over loud music.
For a live stream, we add a streaming laptop and two internet paths: a wired line plus a 5G backup. Everything is recorded locally at the same time. LED lights come along when the stage or the photo wall needs them.
A typical crew plan
| Party | Crew | Packages |
|---|---|---|
| 100-200 guests, photos only | 1 photographer | Photography, half day |
| Photos plus a recap film | Photographer + video operator | Add recording and a highlight reel |
| Branch offices watching live | Photographer + streaming operator | Add a live stream |
| Social media push | Any of the above | Add 5 short clips |
If time on site, including setup, runs past 4 hours, the package becomes a full day. See all prices on the pricing page.
Party night timeline
- 1.5-2 hours before doors: crew arrives, sets up and tests sound and internet.
- Arrival: photo wall and team photos. Do the big group photo early.
- Speeches and first draw: close-ups of the speaker, reactions from the room.
- Awards and performances: every winner on stage, every act.
- Table toasts and grand prize: the liveliest part of the night.
- After: photos in 3 working days, video in 5, or 48-hour rush.
What the organizer should prepare
- The run of show with times.
- The award list and the order of winners.
- Lucky draw rounds and the grand prize, so we are in position.
- A sound contact at the venue.
- Whether the stream is internal only, and the link or platform to use.
- One person who can send us photo picks for posting on the night.
Common mistakes
- Not sharing the winner lists. The photographer can’t be in position for a name they don’t know is coming.
- Group photo at the end. By then half the room has gone home.
- Streaming on hotel Wi-Fi. It tends to fail during the draw, when everyone is on their phones.
- Pop songs on a public YouTube stream. Copyright detection can cut the stream. Keep it internal or skip the stream for that segment.
- Booking in January. The best evenings go first.
